My proposal is to make this project in the plastic subject, working with recycled materials and handicrafts. For this, they can be divided into groups and go step by step all together with much help from the teacher. This part has to be very organized, and they are very small children.

During this process, in the subject of mathematics, the concept of weight is presented and some units of measurement such as the kilogram. It is also necessary to work with children to measure the weight of everyday objects, so that they can see and observe directly about reality.

Finally, when the material is done, each group can work with it, which will help them visualize the mathematical and abstract concepts. In addition, it is a material that they have created themselves, by the protagonists of their own learning.

In short, I think it is a very good material to work in the first cycle.
