Web Resources

In this post I would like to make a compilation of online games related to probability. So that we can create a platform of inspiration and resources for teachers or children who are interested.

In this first link, we find a game where they mix fractions with probability. I think the appropriate age for this game is from third or fourth grade, depending on when they learn to use fractions. I think it's a very simple, direct and clear game, although I think it would be appropriate to mix it with other games because it is repetitive and monotonous.

In this link we find a game in which players can create their own fragmented circle in different colors to give the roulette and check what is the probability that each color comes out. It is a good tool for children to see visually that there is more probability of appearing a color that is in more quantity than another. On the other hand, I also think it is a somewhat complex tool for the little ones, so I would use it with the third cycle of primary school.

In this link a game of probability and chance reappears, but this time through questions that will make players reflect, in such a way that the probability process is better understood and shows more interest for him. It is a good game but some questions are a bit abstract and with the possibility of finding several answers in them since they are not entirely clear. For the rest, the game is quite good, it is also repetitive, so it helps children to better assimilate the concepts and the different examples. It is again a game for the third cycle.
